Super Goomba Brothers – Free Amigurumi Pattern

Super Goombagurumi Brothers!

Super Goombagurumi Brothers!

I’ve long suspected the lowly Goombas of the Marioverse long for different lives as they watched the swarthy Italian plumbers seek adventure and treasures with envy, perhaps even jealousy. These two little guys however have chosen to emulate the heroes and became the Super Goomba Brothers. This is a very small finished object standing at around 2.5 inches and could be tied together on a string to make fuzzy dice style rear-view mirror hangers, keychains, Christmas ornaments etc. As always this pattern is free, read my terms of use and FAQ if you need more information about selling finished objects.

Pattern Details These were made using a 3.5 mm crochet hook and my stash of 100% cotton worsted weight yarn in various colours. They stand around 2.5 inches tall. The eyes, moustaches and cap badges are felt fabric glued to the surface using ordinary fabric glue and acrylic paint was used for the pupils, teeth and cap badge insignia. Some pieces are worked in joined rounds while others are spiral. The pieces in joined rounds typically need symmetry and will turn out better if worked in joined rounds vice spiral. The pieces calling for spiral will look better made that way. While it may seem weird to keep switching from one to the other, itโ€™s recommended the directions are followed for optimal results. If you have any problems with the directions or want help with embroidering the mouth, etc, consult the tutorials page.

Just wanted to drop a quick note to say thanks for the patterns! I made a Kirby from your patterns a little while back for a friend. Planning on making a pair of these to give to another friend’s kids as Christmas ornaments. Cheers!
