This is a multi-pattern that is a basic oval-shaped ball that comes with multiple ways of finishing it that include a cat, dog, bunny, bear, duck, mushroom, carrot or strawberry.
These work up super quick since they are so small and pretty simple, around 30 minutes from start to finish. They’re a bit over 1 inch in height and would make a great keychains or phone straps. I’ll probably be using this as the base pattern for my amigurumi workshop at Tsukino Con in February since it is shorter and simpler than the peanut animal pattern I was using before and I get many repeat con goers who may appreciate something different to work on.
Pattern Details These were made using worsted weight cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm crochet hook. They stand around 1 inch tall. The facial details are 6mm safety eyes, fabric paint blush and embroidered mouths. The mushroom’s dots are felt fabric glued to the surface of the amigurumi. Most piece were worked in a spiral but some should be worked in joined rounds, those will be noted in the pattern. The pieces in joined rounds typically need symmetry and will turn out better if worked in joined rounds vice spiral. The pieces calling for spiral will look better that way. While it may seem weird to keep switching from one to the other, it’s recommended the directions are followed for optimal results.
Tutorial Videos were created for this pattern and uploaded to youtube for beginners who may need some help following along.
