Borderlands 2 Claptrap (CL4P-T4P) Amigurumi Pattern

High five? You've earned it!

High five? You’ve earned it!

It’s finally here! The pattern for my Claptrap amigurumi is an intermediate pattern not recommended for those just starting with crochet. He is made with a 3.5mm hook and reinforced with plastic canvas to keep a cornered and symmetrical shape. I used copper electrical wiring to attach his wheel and reinforce his arms. The more minor body details are painted felt glued on with fabric glue. This amigurumi is a fitting way for a fearsome minion to pay tribute to their stair-challenged master, and would be a good gift for any Borderlands/Borderlands 2 fan.

You'll be my fearsome minion!

Chubby Cat, Bunny, Bear or Pig Amigurumi Pattern

Chubby Amigurumi Animals

Chubby Amigurumi Pig, Bunny, Kitty and Bear.

I haven’t had a pattern for a while so here is another multi-purpose pattern that can be used to make several different types of animals in similar styles. They are chubby little short cuties around 2 inches tall and could make fun little playsets for children, xmas tree ornaments, catnip toys or just cute plushies for decoration or gifts. The pattern is worked in a spiral and is fairly simple, well suited to all abilities. Ear and tail patterns from my other multi-purpose patterns could likely be adapted to fit these if you wanted to make a different kind of animal.

Adam’s Amigurumi Rabbit with Carrot

Adam's Rabbit

Adam’s Rabbit

When meeting a newly born baby, one must always come bearing gifts. Seeing as I was out of frankincense, don’t know what myrrh is and I’m not all that biblical to start out with, I figured a cute little stuffie might be better. This little rabbit was made for Adam James and since the pattern is free it can be made for others now too.

This amigurumi was made with my usual worsted weight yarn and a 3.5mm hook. It works up to around 6 inches tall and is fairly quick to complete because of it’s size. The ears can be turned down to make a dog or if you would like to do another animal, the bear and kitty ears from this pattern could easily be used to change this amigurumi into another animal. The basic body shapes are quite different but the sizes are similar enough for the ears to be interchangeable. If you wish to complete this without the sweater, ignore the colour change instructions. Thanks to an awesome photographer for the great pictures!

Batman Amigurumi Pattern (Gotham City Impostors)

Amigurumi Batman is not amused

Amigurumi Batman is not amused

Inspired by the awesomeness that is Gotham City Impostors, this amigurumi Batman has a little stubby build that matches the style of the game art in loading screens, business bat mascot and the calling card. Gotham City Impostors is probably one of my currently most favourite video-games and time vampires and one of the primary reasons for the ongoing lapse in new patterns. It’s definitely a game worth checking out if you are a fan of silly, action packed team and class based multi-player games and is available on PC, PS3 (where I play) and xbox. Amigurumi Batman’s face, eyes and bat emblem are glued on felt and the rest is pure crochet goodness made of my usual unmercerized worsted weight cotton yarn stash. I may get around to making a Joker but given my track record and tendency to procrastinate and get distracted by other projects, I figured it was best not to wait for the joker to publish this.

Deadmau5 Head Amigurumi Pattern

Deadmau5 Head Keychain

This deadmau5 head keychain was a special request for a friend who is a big deadmau5 (pronounced Dead Mouse) fan. For those who don’t know, he is an electro-house music producer from Canada. It’s a simple pattern that make a 2.5 inch tall keychain size deadmau5 head and could probably be repurposed to a reasonable Mickey Mouse or random monster weirdo. The head is based on another designer’s pattern (Ideal Crochet Sphere), linked below. The deadmau5 head has varied in colours and styles over the years so there is a ton of room for modification and alteration, though apparently red with black x-eyes was the first.

Amigurumi Crochet Hook Plushie with Pattern

Amigurumi Crochet Hook

And of course he is happy about it.

Minds, prepare to be blown. I’m not entirely sure, but I think this pattern may cause the universe to collapse or create a rip in the space-time continuum… it’s that epic. If I have inadvertently triggered the apocalypse, my apologies for those of you who will surely perish, but clearly it had to be done. I regret nothing.

In it’s very own “Pimp my Ride” putting things in things style splendor, I present to you the amigurumi crochet, crochet hook… an amigurumi plushie of a… crochet hook. I know right? I made him an E hook, which is my preferred amigurumi hook size, and the same size I used to make him even. I’m not too sure what I will do with this little guy, maybe hang him from my rear view mirror or create an altar to the awesomeness of crochet. As with all my patterns, this pattern is a freebie of course. Hookers rejoice!
